I’ve held up pretty well this year — even despite the social unrest and pandemic. But, the wildfires (and my whole Instagram feed being orange) has rocked me to my core.
There is a narrative that I keep hearing about COVID being a test-run for the global crisis around climate change. I just thought we had more time.
And, worse yet, I don’t know where to begin. With COVID, it feels easy — where a mask. With BLM, I needed to educate myself, my kids, and call out anti-racism around me. With the environment, it’s overwhelming. I’m scared for our future.
I don’t have a tip or way to make this better. I just needed to share and let you know that if you feel the same way, you are not alone.
