Do you want to be special or happy?

I recently read a thought provoking article in the Atlantic that I have been processing about how people sacrifice their well-being by overworking to keep getting dopamine hits of success. Here is a quote:

As I once found myself confessing to a close friend, “I would prefer to be special than happy.” He asked why. “Anyone can do the things it takes to be happy — going on vacation with family, relaxing with friends … but not  everyone can accomplish great things.”

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what I really want because I’m at a crossroads with my new business, Breakout. Do I go after it hard? Or, do I turn into a lifestyle business where I can still be successful, but have more time for friends and family.  What do I want? What do you want?
