Teach your kids to code

One thing I meant to do for ages was to teach Chloe to code. I’m so excited to have discovered Scratch Jr., a tool built by MIT that lets 5 to 7-year-olds program their own interactive stories and games.

After a few minutes of instruction, Chloe (and even four-year-old Rowan) spent hours coding stories. The next day, we bought the Scratch Jr. book, which laid out more specific tasks for her.

It’s truly screen time that I can get behind. Check out Chloe and her coding-face.
